The Carriage House was built in 1889 for the Cornell family. During Prohibition,
the Carriage house was a "Speakeasy". The building was converted into dormitory
quarters for Tanglewood students in the 1950's. The 8 guest rooms are now decorated in a
country style. Two of the units are loft suites with kitchens, making them perfect for a
long term stay.
