Just a few paces
from the Main House
lies the Carriage House.
The 8 guest rooms
(shown below) are
decorated in a
country style and
feature painted
cupboards, vintage
toys and various
other bits of
traditional New
England charm. Two
of the units are
loft suites with
kitchens, making
them perfect for
family vacations or
an extended long
term stay.
The
Carriage House was built in 1889 for the Cornell family. During Prohibition, the Carriage house was a "Speakeasy". The building was converted into dormitory quarters for Tanglewood students in the 1950's. |
