waterfall lies the MacDonald House.
Originally
a private family
home built in 1777,
it now has 10 guestrooms
(shown below),
each uniquely
decorated in a
colonial style. The
relaxing common area has the
original wide-plank
floors and most of
the rooms have an
original hand-hewn
corner beam exposed.
The MacDonald family
has a rich history,
including Edward
MacDonald's service
in the Civil War.
Mr. MacDonald went
on to help found the
Lenox National Bank
and the Lenox Water
Company, both of
which are still in
existence. He was
later elected as a
State
Representative.
